Reverend Garry Masterson is the senior pastor at Hardy.  He is a graduate of the University of Texas.  His Masters of Divinity Degree is from Southern Methodist University, Perkins School of Theology.  He is happily married to Cindy, his wife.  They have two sons, Joshua and Samuel.  Joshua is a graduate of Texas A&M University and is married to Jaimie. They live in Dallas.  Josh is currently working on his Masters of Theological Studies at Perkins School of Theology and works as a youth director. His wife Jaimie is an architect working for a firm in Dallas. Samuel is married to Sarah.  Sam and Sarah both graduated from Sam Houston State University. They are happily married and currently live in College Station, Texas.
Garry came to know the Lord when he was a teenager.  He was involved in his UMYF group and Young Life.  While in college, he was very active in Inter Varsity Christian Fellowship, becoming an associate staff member at Texas A&M university.  He was also involved with a Christian Counseling Center called The Answer, and worked with troubled youth at Still Creek Christian Farm. He served as minister of Discipleship at Aldersgate United Methodist Church. Garry has served as pastor of Millican United Methodist and Kosse & Reagan United Methodist churches. He served several churches in Plymouth, England for a year, then was appointed to First United Methodist in Beaumont as the associate pastor with Cindy, his wife, as the Christian Education Director. He has served as pastor of First United Methodist in Fulshear and Westminster United Methodist in Houston. He came to Hardy in September of 2004.

Phyllis Jackson is our Youth Director. Phyllis has been married to Don Jackson for 24 years.  They have three children.  Mitchell who lives in Jackson, Mississippi.  Amy lives in Texarkana and Jacob who attends Texas A&M University in College Station. Phyllis is very excited to be working with the youth.

 Mary Lou Thornton is our Christian Education Director.  Mary Lou is dedicated staff member who works with all ages of the educational programs. She has a Masters Degree from Texas A&M - Texarkana. She taught in public schools for 35 years, the last 20 at Texas High School. Mary Lou is in her 4th year as director of Christian education at Hardy. She has also served Hardy as chair of administrative board, council on ministries, and staff-parish relations, and a member of the finance committee.
She and her husband Royce have three children.  The oldest is Molly Pate, married to Brian; they have two children. Jeremy, their son, is married to Kathryn Leigh, and they live in Kansas City with their two children Their other daughter Meghann lives here in Texarkana and is married to Sky Crane.

Barbara Means is Hardy's Financial Secretary.  Barbara has faithfully served Hardy for 25 years in handling our financial matters along with the finance committee.  She is married to Carol.  They have two daughters. Kelley is a registered nurse who works at Skaggs Hospital in Branson, Mo.  Christy works as a sales representative for Lazy Boy furniture and also lives in Branson.

Jennie Fedric is our Church Secretary.  Jennie has served in this position for over ten years! She is married to John. They have two grown children, who are both married. The daughter Jacy lives in Dallas, and their son Jason lives here in Texarkana.

Micah McBay is our Director of Music. Micah has been married for twelve years to Julie, our organist. They have two children: Alex, 11, and Meaghan, 9. Micah is (almost) a Texarkana native (born in Chattanooga, TN) and graduated from Texas High School in 1994. He began his college work at Ouachita Baptist University studying choral music education. After moving back to Texarkana in 1997, Micah began work on a different degree and now has a B.S. in History from Texas A&M - Texarkana. He has served three other churches: First Methodist, Ashdown, AR; Highland Park Baptist; and Downtown First Baptist. He is also the music teacher as St. James Day School here in Texarkana. Micah loves the Lord and music and invites all those interested to come and be a part.
       Julie McBay, our organist, also plays piano and was a piano performance major at Ouachita. She is a graduate of Arkansas High School (1994) and is currently working on a degree in mathematics. She is currently working at Dillard’s in Central Mall at the Lancome counter.
 

David Favors is our church custodian.  David joined our staff in 2004.  He is doing a fine job.  He is committed to excellence in his work.  For 12 years he worked with Maintenance 1 for Walsh Distribution Company. He has three children: Shaletha, Kenyetta and David. They all reside here in Texarkana.

 Bryan Fountain is our church pianist.  Bryan has faithfully played the piano for Hardy for over 15 years and blesses us with his musical skill. Bryan also teaches school in the Texarkana- Arkansas School system.
